Step # 1– Click Here to Create Your USSSA Login ID– The first step in becoming a USSSA team is to create a USSSA login ID. This page is used to create a IDs for TEAM MANAGERS OR HEAD COACHES ONLY !!!!.
· You only need 1 login ID even if you participate with USSSA for many years.
· With a USSSA login account, you will be able to : enter tournaments, manage your roster, include your players in national player rankings, allow each member of your team to have a personal page, allow you and your players to receive start times via email, and much more.
· You will be receiving a confirmation email with all the information you will be providing. Please save this email and confirm that all the information that you have keyed into the system is correct.
Step # 2– After you have created a Team Login ID then you are ready to create your team. You can create your team immediately after you get your Login ID or you can return later, enter your Login ID and password, then create your team. The menu below will appear and all you have to do is click on Register/Create Basketball Team.

To create your team you will need your team name, Team City and Team State. It will then ask you for your Sport and Class Requested. If you are not sure what your age or grade should be the “Click Here” to go to the USSSA Age Calculator”.
You are going to be given an option to choose if you are a Division I team, Division II team or Division III team. Below is a breakdown to consider what level you should register. All Premier Basketball Tournament teams will be Division I or Division II. What division you select will have no effect on where you are seated in Premier Basketball Tournaments.
Division I (Elite) Division I is designed for the top level of competition. These teams are highly skilled select teams usually made up of players from the entire city, region or even from around the state. This division is open to any team that wants to compete at that level. This is our most competitive division. Division II players may play on a Division I team.
Division II (Competitive)
Division II is designed for teams that are not yet ready to compete with Division I teams; however these teams are considered select and skilled. They may lack the overall depth of a Division I team. Examples of teams that enter this division may include teams that have players from one school, neighborhood or area, small town teams, or all-star teams.
Division III (Community Based or Developmental)
Division III is designed for recreational teams or pure league teams. These teams would not be considered select teams as most would have been compiled through a league drafting system. Players on a DI or DII level team can not play on any DIII team.

USSSA Insurance cost only $89.00 per year, for the entire team, both coaches and players. Premier Basketball Tournaments will be sanctioned USSSA but it is not mandatory to be a USSSA insured team to participate in Premier Basketball Tournaments, but purchasing the USSSA insurance is highly recommended for you and your teams protection. Go to Step #3 to get USSSA insurance.
Step # 3– Click Here to purchase USSSA Insurance– The second step in becoming a part of the USSSA family is to purchase your insurance for your team. This insurance will cover you and your players at any event that you play. Note that some organizations require you to have their insurance to participate in their events. The USSSA insurance will protect all coaches and players that are on your roster to and from all practices and games. If you are a manager or coach in youth sports today it is highly recommended that you and your players have coverage to protect you both from injuries and liability.
The USSSA insurance program has a $2,000,000.00 General Liability per Occurrence and a $100,000.00 Accident Medical Expense. Your cost for this insurance is only $89.00 per team, per year. You can also add a practice facility that requires liabilty insurance for just $10.00 per facility. If you have any questions about USSSA insurance call 1-800-741-3014.
